Erica and Jessica are our guides through the historical French Quarter of New Orleans, a place that’s renowned for its cocktails. Beginning at oldest bar in America, The Blacksmith Shop, they sample Nola’s most famous cocktail of all, the Hurricane. Then it’s off to Antoine’s, the oldest fine dining restaurant in the area, to learn of its unique history and discover the signature drink of New Orleans, the Sazerac. There are more tales of the cocktail when our hosts visit Arnaud’s for the French 75, a drink named after a rifle. Then Napoleon house, where we discover Napolean’s former bedroom is now used for party room. Topping offf the tour is The Court of two Sisters for their Bayou Bash, the once outlawed, Absinthe bar, and a place notorious for serving alcohol during prohibition, Two Jaques.
